I am very happy to be able to share my love for art with the children at MMR. I have an extensive background in Fine Arts, both as a working artist and as a teacher. I graduated from Towson University with a BS in Fine Arts with a focus on the Renaissance and Iconography. I have been blessed to study painting in Florence and for several years, I was attending an Iconography school in NYC. I have done a few book illustration projects and have worked as a Special Ed Art teacher. I also have a second degree in occupational therapy.
I love the creativity, joy, and openness that younger kids bring into the classroom. I love to foster that creative spirit in them as they grow older. My goal is to keep the students interested, focused, and engaged while learning about Art History and creating their own works. Seeing what my students create is one of the most rewarding parts of my job!
