Model UN is a simulation of the UN General Assembly where students perform an ambassador role while debating topics such as climate action, education for women, global health and more. The students practice public speaking, critical thinking, and in-depth research. The students grow and enrich their global affairs knowledge through discussion, research and debate.
When we are able, the students will take a field trip to the Penn Museum and Temple University where they will learn about aspects of proper etiquette in public speaking and debate. The students will compete against other schools to debate their particular topics. In the meantime, we will be practicing public speaking, critical thinking, and research and debate within our own club. The club is open to students in Grades 6-8. Registration is in September for the upcoming year.
